What We Believe

Solid Ground Park — A Place of Spiritual Restoration and Growth

Restoring relationship with Jesus and people: living a lifestyle of restoration and spiritual growth based on Biblical truth.

  • Restoring relationships with Abba, through Jesus, guided by the Holy Spirit.
  • Rooted in Christ and living with a mindset of spiritual growth by daily seeking God's presence and purification through active obedience, constantly stepping into unity with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Aligning spirit, soul (mind and emotions) and behaviour (words and actions) through living a lifestyle based on biblical truth.

Solid Ground is a spiritual community park that aims to restore all relationships. We offer a variety of healthy activities and facilities focused on connecting people to God, building fellowship and encouraging people to live a lifestyle of faith.

Section 2

Why We Do What We Do

Revival is a spiritual awakening that occurs when a believer is no longer dormant or stagnant. It's a time of renewed passion for God, His word, and His church. Revival can also involve a desire to grow in righteousness.

Life

Revival is a rebirth or reawakening that can happen to an individual, family, church, community, or nation.

Fresh Start

Revival marks a new beginning in a believer's life, lived in obedience to God.

Spiritual Awakening

Revival can be a time of renewed appreciation for God's holiness and a renewed passion for His Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

What does revival involve?

  • A renewed love for God
  • A renewed appreciation for God's holiness
  • A renewed passion for God's word and His church
  • A renewed passion for His Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33)
  • A spirit of humility
  • A desire to grow in righteousness

What does revival mean in the Bible?

  • • The word "revive" is a translation of the Greek word anazao, which means "to live again."
  • • The Hebrew word for revival is chayah, which means "to bring back to life."

Section 3

Building on a Firm Foundation for Restoration — Solid Ground

In the Bible, "solid ground" is a metaphor for something secure and unchanging that people can stand on during difficult times. It can also refer to the foundation of faith in Jesus Christ.

Bible verses that mention solid ground

  • Psalms 40:1-3 — God lifts people out of despair and sets their feet on solid ground.
  • Psalms 26:12 — The speaker says they stand on solid ground and will praise the Lord.
  • Ephesians 3:14-21 — A passage about spiritual strength through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Matthew 7:24-27 — Building your house on the rock: the wise person hears Jesus' words and acts on them.

Explanation

  • • The Word of God provides a foundation for people to stand on.
  • • Jesus Christ is the solid rock, or unshakable truth, that believers can build on.
  • • Faith in Jesus Christ can provide a source of strength and spiritual grounding.
  • • The Good News is a message that can liberate people from sin and death.

What is understood by "Solid Ground"?

Psalm 26 concludes: "Now I stand on solid ground, and I will publicly praise the Lord." The Hebrew word translated here as "solid ground" is mishor. It can refer literally to a "level place" or "plateau" (for example, Deut. 3:10). Mishor has, in biblical Hebrew, a metaphorical sense of righteousness or justice.

Scriptures

1 Corinthians 3:11

"For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

Matthew 7:24-27

"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it."

John 14:6

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Psalms 40:1-3

"I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord."

Psalms 26:12

"My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the Lord."

Ephesians 3:14-21

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Ephesians 6:11

"Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil."

Ephesians 6:13

"Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm."

1 Peter 5:9

"Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world."

1 Corinthians 15:58

"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labour is not in vain."

Philippians 1:27

"Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel."

Philippians 4:1

"Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved."

1 Corinthians 16:13

"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong."
